🥕Food Access Volunteer:
Pick Up & Deliver Groceries

Help make sure everyone in our community has access to food!

Many of our community members face barriers to getting groceries, whether it’s fear of leaving home or lack of transportation. Food Access Volunteers step in to help by picking up food boxes from local pantries and delivering them right to families’ doors.

How It Works

  1. Find a food bank near you.
Use Oregon Food Bank’s Food Finder to locate one that’s convenient and open at a time that works for you.
(Need help? Here’s a quick video on how to use the tool.)

  2. Let us know where you’ll go.
Email Alex, our Volunteer Coordinator (volunteer@pnwrsg.org), with the food bank name and location. Alex will match you with a nearby household for delivery.

  3. Pick up & deliver.
Stop by the food bank during its open hours, grab the groceries, and drop them off at the household’s address. That’s it!

Why It Matters

Each delivery makes a huge difference. You’re helping families feel supported, building trust, and showing solidarity.
